HeLP™ Hemorrhoid Laser Procedure

HeLP™ is a painless surgical procedure and best in terms of minimally invasiveness. It is surely the simplest among other techniques and does not comprise tissue aspiration, but only the closing of the artery, with no internal suture or stitches. 

Using disposable guidance probes and selective laser energy and fiber optic delivery systems, we identify the hemorrhoidal arteries above the hemorrhoidal cushions and produce photocoagulation and retraction of surrounding tissue. The HeLP™ proctoscope is then rotated for each of the sub mucosal branches of the superior hemorrhoidal arteries and the procedure is repeated to complete the treatment 

The Pathology 

Hemorrhoids or piles are varicosities and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. The anatomical term "hemorrhoids" technically refers to “Cushions of tissue filled with blood vessels at the junction of the rectum and the anus”. Hemorrhoids are common. It is estimated that approximately one half of the population have had this condition by the age of 50, and that 50% to 85% of the world's population will be affected by hemorrhoids at some time in their life. Annually, about 10% to 20% of patients with symptomatic hemorrhoids require surgery. 

HeLP™ is the least invasive of surgical procedures for hemorrhoidal dearterialization for curing hemorrhoids. HeLP™ uses an integral procedure kit specially designed by biolitec to achieve a treatment that is fast, painless, and above all, simple and reproducible by the surgeon.
